About the event
CAMP REOPENS AT 18:30
LMF and MUBI present an exclusive Liverpool preview of Jane Schoenbrun’s Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma, followed by an LMF-led post-film discussion at Picturehouse at FACT.
THE FRANCHISE REFUSES TO DIE
After years of slapdash sequels and waning fandom, the Camp Miasma slasher franchise is handed to enthusiastic young filmmaker Kris (Hannah Einbinder) for a reboot. Research takes her to Billy (Gillian Anderson), the reclusive star and original final girl, who now lives on the site where the films were made. Their meeting opens the door to a blood-soaked world of desire, fear and delirium.
A NEW KIND OF HORROR REMAKE
Following its world premiere as the Opening Night selection of Cannes’ Un Certain Regard, Jane Schoenbrun (I Saw the TV Glow, We’re All Going to the World’s Fair) brings Camp Miasma for an exclusive preview at Picturehouse @ FACT.
