LMF & MUBI Present: Sex, Death and the Slasher

WELCOME TO CAMP

No cabins, no curfew and, as far as we know, no masked killer waiting in the woods.

Sex, Death and the Slasher is a one-day workshop from LMF and MUBI, led by camp leaders Em. J Gilbertson and Elliott Bennett. We will look at what the slasher says about the culture that made it, how queer and trans experience has found a home in horror, and how those ideas can become stories of your own.

This is not six hours of sitting through a lecture. Expect clips, stills, discussion and two practical activities: a new slasher built in groups, followed by an individual horror idea in the afternoon. No filmmaking experience or finished script is needed. Curiosity will do just nicely for us.
