ROSE OF NEVADA + LIVE SCORE PERFORMED BY THE CORNISH SOUND UNIT
Mark Jenkin returns to Liverpool for a live performance of the score to his latest feature, Rose of Nevada.
Jenkin and Dion Star will perform together as The Cornish Sound Unit, using reel-to-reel tape machines, analogue synthesisers, guitars, feedback and field recordings to create a mixture of composed and improvised music alongside the film.
A fishing trawler missing for thirty years suddenly returns to a Cornish harbour. Two young men join its new crew and head out to sea, unaware of how deeply the voyage will connect them to the vessel’s past.
Starring George MacKay, Callum Turner, Rosalind Eleazar and Mary Woodvine, Rose of Nevada is the new film from the director of Bait and Enys Men.
