About the event
Explore science through cinema in this interactive workshop, which takes in the miniscule and the massive – from plant cells to planets. Enjoy a showcase of stunning film footage and find out how it was shot, before having a go at shooting your own.
Stop-motion filmmaker, Joshua Chawner, will guide you through different filmmaking techniques. You’ll use microscopes and macro lenses to capture footage of everyday objects like leaves, fabric, tools and toys. And you’ll experiment with framing, focus, lighting and perspective to enhance the beauty of your shots.
Come along and immerse yourself in a session where art and science collide.
