April's Writer’s Hangout is focused on dialogue and how characters speak on the page.

If you have scenes where the dialogue feels flat, stiff, overwritten, or not quite true to the characters, this session is a chance to look at it with other writers and talk through what might help.

You can bring a full scene, a short exchange, or even just a few lines you’re unsure about. We’ll spend time reading, listening, and discussing how dialogue reveals character, creates tension, and carries meaning without spelling everything out.

There’s no pressure to share, perform, or have finished work. You’re welcome to write quietly, listen in, or join the discussion as much or as little as you like. The focus is on clarity, confidence, and finding a more natural voice in your writing.
