Dogtooth

A father raises his three adult children in total isolation from the outside world. They’ve never left the house. They’ve been taught the wrong meanings of words. Everything they know has been filtered through him. When cracks start to appear, the whole system begins to wobble.

After the screening, we’ll talk about how Lanthimos creates that atmosphere of control without doing anything flashy. The flat performances. The still camera. The way conversations feel slightly off. We’ll look at how language becomes a weapon in the film, and how repetition builds tension. It’s a good one to think about if you’re interested in tone and how far you can push an audience without raising your voice.
