About the event

This special half-term workshop invites children and their families into the world of stop-motion animation. Guided by members of the Aardman team, participants will learn how a simple idea can grow into a character, how to shape expressions and personalities from clay, and how stories are built frame by frame.

It’s a relaxed, creative space, perfect for kids who love to make, draw, or invent. Everyone will have the chance to design and sculpt their own character, experiment with poses and movement, and see how those ideas could come to life on screen.

After the workshop, the morning finishes with a cinema screening of Wallace and Gromit: A Close Shave, the perfect way to see professional stop-motion storytelling in action, after trying it yourself.

This session is suitable for ages 6–16 and welcomes families, carers and guardians to take part together. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
