About the event
Spend an afternoon learning directly from Aardman, the world-renowned studio behind Wallace & Gromit, Shaun the Sheep, and Chicken Run, in this immersive, practical workshop designed for adults, filmmakers, artists, and anyone looking to build a career in animation or visual storytelling.
Led by members of the Aardman team, this hands-on session introduces the creative and technical principles behind stop-motion filmmaking.
You’ll be guided through how ideas become stories, how characters are designed for animation, and how storytelling and movement work together to create emotion and humour.
Participants will have the chance to sculpt and shape their own clay characters, storyboard simple actions or short scenes, and gain real insight into the studio’s development process, from early sketches and armatures to sets, lighting, and the rhythm of stop-motion performance.
